Galleria Spazio Arte, Cremona Italy 2007 Tatjana Blinja's art is an expression of pure figurative vibrations. The artist uses found fabrics on which she creates a canvas. On the initial design, she adds not only colour but adds to the fabric objects, jewels, pearls; achieving by this method a sense of deep three dimensionality. Warriors, princesses immersed in immaculate rivers appear like fabulous characters from the past. Influences of Gothic Art along with Indian, Arabian and Aztec are pleasingly integrated creating rich images. Feminine figures, strongly eroticized evoke sensations of a distant and glorious past unfortunately lost. Like icons of the Gothic Fiorito, sensual young women recall a distant world where the virtue of men inspired the sweet romance of love. Prof. GianLuigi Guarneri (translated from Italian) |
